Introduction
Usually, we all break down losing our patience and kindness, during the rough days that; life throws at us. The greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one thought over another. But the tough part is to deal with the situation loaded with stress. As this is a rare trait, not everyone can deal with hard times easily with patience and strength. When we talk about life, certain feelings like happiness, grief, stress, relaxation, etc. are part of it.
Every day Savitaben is fighting a battle full of hardships and struggles so that she can overcome and control the situation from becoming worst. Let us meet a lady who is dealing with some or other type of stress in her day-to-day life and due to this, she has to limit herself opening up in front of the world. She believes in the thought of ‘One day at a time’ as it becomes easy for her to deal with things for a day than to worry about the many upcoming days. She is Savitaben Chhotubhai Rathod who was born and bought up in Khergam in the Valsad district. Every day she works hard to win the daily battle and plays different roles in every aspect of life.

How She Looks…??
Savitaben is an old age lady and she is 60 years old. This is the outcome of some kind of unfortunate situation which usually changes people’s lives and even their perspective towards themselves and others. She is able to see the beauty of life and how to overcome hardship with a smile with her small and beautiful dark eyes. As she believes that most people don’t care about others, everyone is interested in their benefits. She is having one wart on her forehead that adds beauty to her face. Even at the age of 60, she is having natural black hair. She is having fair complexion which looks dull due to the tanning.
Where she lives…?
Savitaben is staying in a small house located in a very small locality. The house in which she is living is very concrete and had a ceiling is dumped with different types of material to cover the roof. Children in the house, add life to the four walls. She still uses gas cylinders, which were placed under the rack of utensils and this shows that they lack such facilities. There was also a small single-door fridge in the kitchen and the colour of the fridge was matching the walls of the house. As 24 hours water supply facility is lacking she stores water for the whole day and uses it as per their need and this is done every day as a routine, they usually fill the water at a particular time when the municipality provides drinking water. The entire house is filled with lots of stuff. The clothes for drying are hanging inside the house near the washing area itself.
Family
Savitaben is a daughter of a couple who belonged to two extremely different religions.
She had gathered valuables for her daughter’s marriage, after doing so much hard work but she ran away with someone. Her daughter didn’t just elope, but she had even stolen a huge sum of money from the house. She did hard work to run the house by going from house to house and did the household work to earn for her family and her daughter’s marriage. She gathered that amount by doing so much hard work for her lifetime. This incident had shaken her and broken her heart deeply after which she decided not to keep any relations with her daughter.
Savitaben added that for the last many days her son is not well so he is not going to work. In this modern world, it is difficult to believe when someone talks about black magic but we might be able to conclude that people in small villages are still practising this kind of awful practice… In Indian villages, we often come to know about the N number of stories regarding such black magic and various weird experiences by all those village people.
She has lost her husband, she does not have relations left with her daughter, she has lost her best friend and now her son is also not keeping well and might support her. So she understands the value of a person and so she treats her daughter-in-law just like her own daughter and both of them together are running their house. She feels obliged that though she lost one daughter she got one more in the form of a daughter-in-law and adores her a lot.
Her likes and dislikes
She believes in the Goddess Dashaa Maa and she has faith and belief in her and she never misses worshiping her. When she was asked about the best day and worst day of her life, she became very apathetic and replied that her life has never been an excitement for her. She has spent her entire life full of struggle and hardships and this was her regular schedule. If you have strong willpower no barrier can hold you back from growing in life, she says.
Her message to the world
At the age of 60 years, she is self-independent, she requests all women to be independent till it is possible for them. Savitaben and her daughter-in-law have taken the responsibility to run their house without any other financial help and ask the women to take charge without fear or any second thought.
