Introduction
People are not born poor or rich, but circumstances; play a part. People who are born in slums also have the right to fulfil their basic needs like getting an education. They also deserve to get respectable work and respect but society is fully loaded with dominating and judgmental people, who snatch all their rights. And as they are not educated they don’t know how to fight back. Their needs and wants are crushed under the chairs of the government which never paid attention and left them to suffer. Today many schemes have been established for the welfare of poor and lower caste people but due to a lack of education and improper awareness, they don’t know how to take advantage of it. The job they get is also based on their caste and living standard and still, they don’t get respect and minimal earnings for their survival. A man named kamalnath also has a certain type of story. He began his journey in villages and slums, and they all have lofty aspirations for themselves and their children.
Who is Kamalnath?
This is the story of a man who was born and brought into one of the villages of U.P known as Sakalpur. He was 52 years old had a dark skin tone and medium height. He was dressed like a typical U.P man and had all the features justifying his age. Kamalnath is a simple man who has learnt to respect his parents and never complained about the opportunities he lost. He studied up to a few grades and then left education as he has to look after his father’s work and his parents’ health. They all knew that education is very essential but being held by the situation of poverty they could not give it more importance. He had a good friend circle but with time he lost contact.
Kamalanth loved science among all the subjects taught in school and was under the guidance of his favourite teacher for the same. But today none of that worked for him and now he has taken over his father’s work and is looking after the farming. He was a person who believed in living a healthy lifestyle by having good food and proper hygiene. Among other villagers, he was open-minded and had a mindset of doing right with others and if anyone was doing wrong then stop them from doing so. He would make a better life for himself and everyone around him if he were wealthy enough.
Family
Parents’ love is as valuable as some essence; that adds charm to life. It does not matter whether you are from a poor family or a rich family. Their selfless love and care for us are truly adorable. They perform each and every action that is beneficial for us and that brings good development in us. They try hard to fulfil every wish that they make but without money, dreams cannot be completed and it brings limitations and same is the story of Kamalanth. He also loved and cared for his siblings among which some are alive some died due to age and serious illness.
Kamalnath got married under age and all that happened due to poor condition. He no longer remained a youth who just cared for him and all his dreams needed to be buried under the rock of responsibilities. But he understood; his responsibilities and today he and his wife are working together to make some money and manage the expenses. He had his own children to whom he is able to give some basic education and all of them are settling slowly with time. The dream of becoming a soldier remained a dream only. Kamalnath had a simple taste in food.
Dreams and a childhood interest
When he was a child he was interested in running and wanted to participate in Olympics. Well this was his basic dream and then when he grew he wished to become a soldier and serve the nation. But destiny had other plans for him and his dream ended there. To look after father’s work he had to give up his dream but even today if he gets chance to become solider he would not think twice. And what if he couldn’t become a soldier, he works like one by being there for whoever needs his help in the village. And so his dream didn’t died within him instead he tried to serve people in all possible manner he could. And somewhere he is living his dream in his son and has faith in himself and hopes that his son will one day succeed in life more than he did in his life.
Difficulties in life
Kamalnath, since his childhood was facing many challenges, firstly giving up on education, second child marriage, third not becoming soldier and fourth not having any of his own property in the village. As this could be solved with the help of government but no actions are taken about this. But apart from all this he was sent to jail for a crime that he never committed and conspiracy was planned against him by some higher authority officers, where he was working. He got no help from anybody but his innocence helped him getting bail from the jail.
