Poverty is caused because of being neglected by society. A person may be born into a poor family but he/she tries every day to improve their lifestyle. Though they are not that educated they do understand the importance of money and even their needs. In today’s world, almost all the labour work is usually done by poor people.
They are ready to do any sort of work because they also value money and they also want their life to improve. Such people often have a good story to tell based on their life incidents and experiences that are worth understanding.
Society needs to understand that a person being poor is not their choice and all their living conditions must be considered and certain actions must be taken for their betterment. And certain focus needs to be paid to education as they lack it very much and due to that they lack many benefits. It is their basic right to get an education.
All about him
This is the story of a man who was born in the village of U.P. in the district called Gautam Buddha Nagar. He was given a name by a priest and he believed him to be everything and had great faith in that sage. Lambunath was around 60 or 70 years as he could not remember his exact age. His family was into snake charming and his father spent his entire life charming snakes. His mother is a housewife and takes good care of the family. He was illiterate by the situation.
Though he was uneducated but was taught important values of life. He got married at the age of 20 and today he lives with his wife and family. Her wife could not help her much as she was disabled. So, he also looks out for his wife by feeding her and helping her cook. He is still active at this age in all terms. He was a snake charmer and gets paid on a daily work basis. His children are in school and they also work.
Without any land or property of their own, his family has lived their entire lives in a modest house that was made out of mud and wood, which they call home. He is an honest man who works hard for money every day. His house is entirely made of mud, not even painted or plastered. He was not having any friends in his entire life. He loved travelling so he often used local transportation for it. He goes to a fair every year to watch the tricks and perform as a snake charmer.
His appearance
His skin tone and white beard say much about his life experience. He was physically strong and held the capacity to do all types of work but due to a lack of opportunities, he accepted whatever work was given to him, with a smiling face and does not worry about anything else.
He mentions that he is a person who lived in present and has great acceptance towards life. He used to be quite calm and cool and was able to deal with his problem. But his smile said all about his hard time and suffering.
The man’s eyes, which have seen a long path through life, are searching for something, the whiteness of his hair, speaks about his experiences. He wore a plain shirt and formal jeans. Now, whatever he was, he was due to his past experiences and without saying much, his appearance and body say a lot. Even today he has some hope from life for some good days in his old age.
Education
Due to his poor family conditions and insufficient money he could never attend school. This makes him feel sad and he feels that his life would be better and would be able to help in making good money by getting a good job. He knew about the processes that are followed in certain types of work but could not benefit from them.
But today when he sees his grandchildren going to school and getting an education, he feels happy. But despite being uneducated he has great knowledge about herbs that are used in Ayurveda, to cure various diseases and all can use them. He got this knowledge from his father.
Lifestyle
Lambunath lived a simple life and loved simple homemade food made by his mother. His favourite dish was vegetables served with puri or chapati. He also loved to travel, so sometimes by means of work and sometimes for purpose of enjoyment he travels to nearby places in his area.
Along with being a snake charmer he also played bands at weddings because of his good sense of music. Also when someone in the village fell sick, they often went to Lambunath for finding a cure as he has an impressive knowledge of herbs and ayurvedic medicines.
Message
The upcoming generation is the true future of the world. People should spread as much love and care as they could and help others in their tough times. If not intelligent by books be a good human by heart. Don’t give up on education and also think about the bright future.
